Amsterdam

So what is it about Amsterdam that keeps people coming back? Some say the Marijuana, some say the Red Light District but what they don't understand is that this unique city offers so much more! When I made my first trip to Amsterdam in the summer of 2008 I was 17 years old and up for anything not to say I don't still feel the same way haha. We had just arrived into Paris to kick off our backpacking trip, me and my mate that is. Within 2 hours of being there we were ready to leave because of how overwhelming the size of the city was and the lack of friendliness to young American travelers. So the question was where should we go? Take a guess! first word that came out of my mouth was Amsterdam and why do you suppose that was? because you can SMOKE WEED there! My first trip to Amsterdam was amazing, life changing and the next two as well but it is not solely because of the coffee shop culture. After spending time in Amsterdam you fall in love with the beauty of this city, the small winding streets, the beautiful lights reflecting off the canal water at night, the fresh aroma of marijuana looming in the streets, the exquisite walks through the Red Light District, the bike rides through the city, the beautiful Dutch women and the ambience of this one of a kind place. So now I leave you with one final message: you could take my word for it but why not see for yourself..... life is short.

Nugget Review : Cali Sour Diesel

Copped a bit of this from my buddy a week before 4/20. At the time I had been saving a g of every strain I was tokin' for 420. After I got my hands on this Sour I ended up swapping it for all the g's I had saved because it was the highest grade smoke I could get my hands on! Haha this shit is bomb! I like to call it my Hulk weed because i'll smoke it and have so much energy, it makes me want to Iron Gym, do pushups, everything! In a way it kind of gives my brain the mindset of being lightly drunk which I find very enjoyable. All in all i'd definitely rate this batch of Sour a 10/10, bud really cant get better then this. A couple weeks after I ran out of the last of my Diesel I found a bowl somewhere in my room and sparked it up in my tube and the taste was on my tongue all night! Here are some pics:

"Dutch implement wind power by placing Turbines in the Ocean"

When I flew from Charles De Gaulle airport to Schipol in November I remember flying over the boarder of Holland where it met the ocean. I snapped some pictures of the boats and oceans and to my surprise I actually saw multiple turbine fields out in the ocean! It turns out that the Netherlands is the first country to implement wind turbines in the ocean. This is a very effective and resourceful idea because it eliminates the visual impact and utilizes the higher offshore winds found on the ocean. The 383 million euro "Q7 Wind Park" development located 14 miles off of the Dutch North Coast is estimated to have the capability to provide enough electricity for 125,000 households!(Reuters)

you can see the turbine field in the background

In my opinion its about time we started implementing the ocean for natural energy, there are also machines that create energy from the currents of waves which we can only hope will start being used in the future. Im glad the NL is leading the way with creativity in a time of much change and global conflict. The increasing pressure of the undeniable truths of Global Warming are pushing scientists and thinkers of our time to new levels of ingenuity and creation! Who knows what systems we will have implemented within the next 50 years? All I can hope for is that we start treating our earth better! Do your part and ride your bike once in a while, it's the little things that count on a large scale!

Cannabis Cup 2009

This past November I made my 3rd trip to Amsterdam during the 22th Cannabis Cup. I spent 7 days total in Amsterdam with a friend, we had our own apartment and went bud crazy. We opted to not waste the money on the Judges passes because we would rather spend the 250 euros on smoke and a great time we had. Below are pictures of almost all the different types of smokes I purchased! Enjoy :)

Not So Formal Introduction:

B-Real of Cypress Hill
at the Grey Area in Amsterdam

Hello bloggers,

Im a 19 year old Male from the North-Eastern United States. After 3 trips to Amsterdam and deep exploration into the multi faceted world of Marijuana I feel it is time to share my experiences. This blog will track my future endeavors into the world of Cannabis as I prepare to embark on the greatest adventure of my life! I will be traveling to Northern California for the biggest harvest in the history of Medical Marijuana and the California Grow Scene! With the passing of Assembly Bill 390: The Marijuana Control, Regulation and Education Act - which seeks to legalize the production, distribution, and personal use of marijuana for adults age 21 and older.(NORML) the harvest in California is going to be tremendous. Many growers feel that the people should vote against the Legalization because it will eliminate the value of ganja almost totally. What they aren't considering is how it will allow everyone to grow legally and will provide a safer environment for citizens who choose to use and cultivate Marijuana whether medically or leisurely. I will update this blog with bud reviews and information on marijuana politics as well as travel logs and other random fun stuff. Hopefully you will enjoy everything my page has to offer!

Cheers
